Sunday
Family Support Group:
This group meets every Sunday and is conducted in Spanish. A potluck dinner is served from 4-6pm, and the support group meets from 6-8pm. This group is for affected and infected individuals who want to talk and meet with other families dealing with HIV/AIDS. The group meets at Christie’s Place 2440 3rd Avenue San Diego. Monday
HIV + Women:
This group meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month and is conducted in English. The group meets from 6:15-8:00pm at Christie’s Place 2440 3rd Avenue San Diego. For additional information call 619-702-4186.
Tuesday
Good Grief:
This group meets every Tuesday and is conducted in English. The group meets from 7:00-9:00pm. This group helps individuals deal with grief and bereavement. The group meets at Christie’s Place 2440 3rd Avenue San Diego. For additional information call 619-702-4186.
Heterosexual Issues:
This group meets every Tuesday and is conducted in English. The group meets from 7:00-9:00pm. This group discusses HIV concerns for men and women who are infected and affected. The group meets at Christie’s Place 2440 3rd Avenue San Diego. For additional information call 619-702-4186.
HIV & Recovery:
This group meets every Tuesday and is conducted in English. The group meets from 5:30-6:30pm. This group is for individuals who are HIV + and in recovery. The group meets at Christie’s Place 2440 3rd Avenue San Diego. For additional information call 619-702-4186.
Wednesday
Young Adults:
This support group meets every Wednesday and is conducted in English. The group meets from 7:00-8:30pm. This group is for HIV + young adults ages 18 to 24. The group meets at the UCSD/AVRC 150 W. Washington St. San Diego. For additional information contact Anthony Johnson at 619-543-8080.
Women’s Support:
This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month and is conducted in English. The group meets from 10:00-11:30am. This group is for HIV + women. The group meets at Being Alive North County 804 Pier View Way Oceanside. For additional information call Barbara Kalafer at 619-543-8080.
Friday
Latina Support:

The mission of Christie's Place is to empower women, children, families and individuals whose lives have been impacted by HIV/AIDS to take charge of their health and well-being. Christie's Place provides HIV/AIDS education, support and advocacy to the entire family.
Services include: hygiene products and diapers, support groups, emergency food, mental health counseling services, computer lab,
on-site childcare / babysitting, family advocacy, hair cuts, substance abuse counseling, monthly HIV legal clinic, resource library, information & referral services to other community resources, educational workshops/trainings and more. Please call for eligibility information.

Infant resources, personal hygiene items for women, case management, support groups, spiritual support and alcohol/drug referral. HIV testing is offered on Wednesdays from 1-3:30 pm. For all people infected with HIV, but targeting African Americans, people of color, homeless, and ex-inmates, but welcomes everyone. Facility is near the 47th St. trolley station.
