in a respectful, confidential manner to all GLBTQQ youth and their families.
As part of our commitment to all young people, UCSD
offers individual and community health education and social support opportunities.

Since 1989, The SafeGuards Project has been evolving to meet the changing

LGBT communities. SafeGuards' programs promote behavior change, enhance

health outcomes. The community based research initiatives of Safeguards
provide a foundation for our community health interventions and public

Established in 1984, the STOP AIDS project works to prevent HIV transmission
among all gay and bisexual men in San Francisco through multicultural,
community-based organizing.
- Transfamily

TransFamily is a support group for transgendered and transsexual people,
their parents, partners, children, other family members, friends, and
supportive others. We provide referrals, literature, and over-the-phone
information on all transgender issues. Although our meetings are held
in Cleveland, Ohio, the Internet has enabled us to extend helping hands
to transgendered individuals and their famlies across the globe.

YouthResource, a Web site created by and for gay, lesbian, bisexual,
transgender, and questioning (GLBTQ) young people 13 to 24 years old,
takes a holistic approach to sexual health by offering support, community,
resources, and peer-to-peer education about issues of concern to GLBTQ
young people. YouthResource has four focus areas: health, advocacy,
community, and issues in our lives.
